We journeyed through Newbury with this spectacular outdoor performance!

French company Rara Woulib took us on a wild nocturnal journey where performance, music and costume came together to create an otherworldly and joyous procession through the town. Deblozay (meaning Bedlam in Haitian Creole) was a fantastical parade inspired by Haitian culture and ancestor worship. We joined the mysterious characters of the 'Gédés', who open doors in our consciousness, uniting the dead and the living in a celebration of life.

All outdoor shows are part of Corn Exchange Newbury's 101 Outdoor Programme and funded by Greenham Trust and Arts Council England.
