Volunteer at RPM by Gorilla Circus

We’re looking for volunteers!
RPM is a mesmeric new outdoor show combining exhilarating acrobatics, adrenaline-pumping street dance and breathtaking roller skating, set on a giant moving treadmill!
We need a team of 12 volunteers to help support the event, assisting with audience arrivals and departures.
There are two shows: 6.30pm and 9.30pm so we are looking for people who can either do 2 or 4 hour slots. Could you do one of the following times on Sat 12 Jul:
5.45pm - 7.45pm
8.45pm - 10.45pm
5.45pm - 10.45pm
Please let us know if you are available to help by emailing katherine@cornexchangenew.co.uk
Volunteering
Volunteer Performers
Some of our resident companies involve volunteer performers in their outdoor events.
This can be a fantastic chance to work alongside national and international outdoor arts companies and gain an insight into how they create work.
Whether you're an experienced performer or artist, a student, or just an interested individual, please drop us a line if you'd like us to keep your details on record to tell you about opportunities that arise. Or follow us on social media to hear more.
Stewarding for Events
We really value volunteers who can help steward our outdoor events and work alongside our professional team.
This is a fantastic way to see international companies close up, and be a part of something amazing in your local community. Stewards can find themselves looking after audience safety at a fire installation, or helping audiences navigate events in the town centre - it's sociable, and volunteers enjoy the buzz and camaraderie of being part of an event team.
Do drop us a line if you'd to be involved and we can keep your details on record until opportunities come up.
Sharings
Sharings of New Work
Sharings are a chance for members of the local community and industry professionals to watch performances of new work currently being developed during artist residencies.
They are often the first time a show is performed in front of an audience and can be really helpful for artists to see what works and what doesn't work for a live audience. It's also a great opportunity to come and see a performance for free!

Lantern Making Workshops
Running since 2011, our annual Festival of Light is a magical community lantern procession through Newbury, marking the festive season.
There are usually lantern making workshops before the event where you can make your own lantern to carry in the procession. Check our outdoor event page in November for dates and times.
"From a volunteer’s perspective you felt unified with the company at the end because we actually danced with them – we came together as a full company. The audience wouldn’t have known whether we were volunteers or part of the company, we were all dressed in white suits."
Debbie Camp, Volunteer Performer with L.G Bisteki
Job Opportunities

Internships
From time to time we accept internships and work experience at 101. Intern roles have involved: working with our lead artist in the workshop, supporting the technician, developing an understanding of producing and programming, and occasionally shadowing and assisting artists in the rehearsal spaces.
