Waiting Song, a sung trapeze duet about hope and aspiration for good things. Clothed in glittering gold, two circus artists invite audiences to pause and consider a simple question: What are you looking forward to? Suspended between earth and sky on a delicate structure of metal bars, they collect hopes, dreams and small anticipations from the crowd, weaving them into a performance of movement, reflection and connection. As audience members hear their own aspirations voiced back to them, ordinary conversations become something unexpectedly moving.

This will be a 15-20min performance with a feedback session at the end.

The Artist

Mish Weaver creates performances indoors and outdoors, creating weight-bearing structures and specialising in choreographing objects and bodies. Mish began her circus career performing trapeze and Cloudswing (pictured), later producing dance theatre shows. Blending technical knowledge of circus disciplines, fine art training, and academic study (choreography, scenography and voice for circus), Mish engages thematic research with metaphoric use of set and circus bodies. Although Mish’s work focuses on climate psychology and mental health, she is not averse to pure entertainment.
