Turning Point by Feet Off The Ground

Feet Off The Ground gave an impromptu sharing of their show Turning Point in June 2024.

About Turning Point

The world is spinning, the future is uncertain but we have power to change it.

Using a rotating stage, Feet off the Ground blend contemporary dance with poetry and an evocative soundscape to unravel women’s stories of protest, climate, community and hope.

Together the four performers journey through exhaustion, celebration and solidarity; expressing the freedom, resilience and spirit it takes to care for each other and the world we live in.

Turning Point at Greenham Women Peace Camp

Following their residency with us, Feet Off the Ground performed their show Turning Point with a community cast of Greenham Women. They performed at Greenham Peace Camp in Aldermaston, which was one of the camps set up to protest against the nuclear weapons being placed at RAF Greenham Common (which is now designated as public parkland, right next to 101).

"Our audience, a remarkable group of female activists who have fought relentlessly for a safer, greener, fairer world for many decades. Many of these women have been arrested and prosecuted for their activism and one has won a Nobel Peace Prize for her work. Seeing their emotional reactions was unforgettable. The police came to check we weren’t trying to scale the fence and we could see military armed guards watching from behind the fences. A surreal experience." - Feet Off The Ground
