Professional development residency and retreat

101 are hosting Upswing and a group of up to 13 female identifying performers and non-binary people who identify with experiences of misogyny for a professional development residency and retreat. The Lab stems from an informal support network, which was originally formed with support from Upswing in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This opportunity is aimed at people from Black African, Caribbean, Afro-Latinx and African-American backgrounds, including those of mixed-Black heritage, working in Circus and Outdoor Arts.

Accommodation and full catering will be provided as part of the Lab.

There will be three days of structured activity from 9 -11 October and then an optional 2 days for individual and group work in the space.

If there is any further support we can give to remove barriers to your participation please let us know on the application form. If you require support with your travel
expenses, please indicate this on the application form. If you cannot attend this Lab but you feel that this group is very relevant to you and your practice, then please fill out the application form telling us about yourself so we can stay in touch with you regarding other opportunities.
