Flick Ferdinando and David Bernstein were in residency at 101 last week working on their new show Stick and Stone. Communicating through physical comedy and visual imagery, Ferdinando and Bernstein face the climate breakdown with the joy of idiocy and play. Part of the Without Walls 2026 programme.
Stick and Stone is supported by Without Walls and commissioned by Norfolk & Norwich Festival, Certain Blacks, Brighton Festival, Activate/Inside Out Dorset, and Stockton International Riverside Festival.
About the Artists
Ferdinando + Bernstein are made up of Flick Ferdinando and David Bernstein. They are two people who have enjoyed the care free nature of comedy and improvisation, mainly physical. They write words to inspire their actions. Some get used in their projects. They both live lives in woods and gardens, nurturing nature connectedness. They draw, they create prints, they sing sometimes.
