Gorilla Circus first tested out the Fire Engine for their new large-scale show A.I.Thentic at 101 in January ahead of its premiere at Out There Festival in Great Yarmouth in May 2025.
A collaboration between Gorilla Circus, When Time was New, and Fruition Arts – A.I.Thentic merges circus, street dance, and technology. It takes place on a platform lift on top of a converted fire engine that can extend up to 18 metres high. The show is self-contained, and the truck can be driven into any city centre or greenfield space where things are going on
As we develop more sophisticated AI, social media and VR, it is getting increasingly difficult to discern the human from the machine, the real from the fake, and the benevolent from the sinister. What do we want our relationship with technology to be, and how do we achieve it?
About the Artist
Gorilla Circus was born in 2009 from the vision of a former flying trapeze artist on a mission to innovate, improve, and create new varieties of spectaculars that tell important stories of real world issues, with unique structures to set the magic onto.
