Green Production Lab 2021
GREEN PRODUCTION LAB 2021
Monday 8th Nov to Wednesday 10th Nov 2021, 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space
Developed in partnership between Without Walls and 101 Outdoor Arts and was made possible through the ongoing support of Arts Council England.
Building on the success of the first Green Production Lab online event, this 3-day residential offered a chance to spend time with peers from across the sector to explore how to understand and reduce carbon impact, build sustainability practice into the heart of your work, and promote sharing and re-use across festival networks.
This opportunity was designed for production management professionals working across the Outdoor Arts sector who were committed to making sustainable changes to their events and organisations.
The lab was open to participants working professionally in a production management role, either freelance or associated with a venue or organisation, with practical and recent work experience in the outdoor arts sector.
Whilst the programme was designed with event organisers in mind, the sessions also offered useful learning to those working with touring artist companies.
The programme included practical and informative workshops covering key topics in sustainability practice and coaching and leadership skills, as well as offering space for peer-to-peer discussion and relationship building through informal activities.
Participants had the chance to check out the latest in sustainable energy technology. There was no cost to attend the event which was inclusive of accommodation and food provided on site at 101 Outdoor Arts. The aim was to attract a diversity of voices and particularly welcomed applications from individuals that are currently under-represented in the sector. Participants had to be available for the full duration of the residential.
