Join the internationally-renowned Kamchàtka street theatre company for an intensive residential workshop on performance in public space

Join the internationally-renowned Kamchàtka street theatre company for an intensive residential workshop based on the tools and theatrical language that the company has been developing and refining over the last 17 years. This opportunity is open to anyone working outdoors/ in public space, in any discipline and at any point in your career - whether you're straight out of training or you've been performing on the street for 20 years!

Originating in Barcelona, Kamchàtka is an artist collective of diverse nationalities and disciplines whose famous interactions featuring a group of newly-arrived strangers carrying suitcases has become emblematic of our times.

Through the workshop, participants will learn Kamchatka’s skills of performance in public space; the body in motion, use of space as part of the dramaturgy, non-verbal language and the interaction and participation of the public. Participants will learn to transform space and generate emotions in order to create unique and powerful artistic experiences. Using playfulness and games the workshops will encourage us to keep all five senses open to everything which surrounds us and accompanies us.
